It’s alarming how people just tend to forget stuff like this. Just days after the 2015 General Election David Cameron came out with this extraordinarily sinister statement about how the UK state had been taking it far too easy on law-abiding citizens!
The UK has already become a very right-wing authoritarian state, and unless serious opposition is raised to plans like the Snoopers’ Charter, so-called “extremism orders” , the outright assault on trade unions, the planned abolition of human rights and the muzzling of intellectual opposition to Tory rule, things are likely to turn very ugly indeed:
