In this image taken from aboard the International Space Station (ISS) using a Nikon D3S digital camera with a 800 millimeter lens you can see parts of New York City and New Jersey with the view centered on Manhattan. It was taken May 5th, 2014 at 19:53 GMT. Easily visible are features like Central Park, Hudson and East River. Midtown and the Financial District appear darker because of the long shadows cast by skyscrapers.
